Training: SST LOCAL LAW 196 TRAINING
4-Hour Supported Scaffold User / Refresher – CLASSROOM – NYC
Purpose: In order to continue to operate in the City of New York, the designated construction worker is required to complete a minimum number of hours of approved site safety training and to carry site safety identification cards as proof of completion of the training (As per New York City Local Law 196 of 2017 also known as ‘LL 196’ or ‘Local Law’). This course provides 4 hours towards the satisfaction of that requirement.
The 4 Hour User Supported Scaffold Training is a NYC Department of Buildings approved course. The course is for any individual who uses supported scaffold of any height. All workers must complete a training program of minimum 4 hours (per local law 52) and upon successful completion will be issued a supported scaffold user certificate. This is required to perform any work on a supported scaffold.
Certificate is valid for 4 years.
Upon successful completion students will receive a certificate.

- Preventing fall and electrical hazards
- Building Regulations
- Ladder Safety, Body Harness, and erecting and loading scaffolds, etc.
