Course
Description:
The 30-Hour
Construction Outreach Training Program is intended to provide training on a variety of topics to workers
and supervisors in the construction industry. The course is based on OSHA
standards in 29 CFR 1926. OSHA recommends outreach training programs as an
orientation to occupational safety and health for workers. Workers must receive additional training on
hazards specific to their job.
Course
Content:
- Introduction to OSHA
- OSHA Policies, Procedures and Standards
- Construction Safety and Health Principles
- Identify common causes of accidents and hazards
in construction - OSHA Focus Four Hazards – including: Fall
Protection, Electrical, Struck By, Caught in/between - Personal Protective and Lifesaving Equipment
- Health Hazards in Construction – including:
Hazard Communication and Silica - Stairways and Ladders
